Chef Matt McCallister's Design District hot spot FT33 is preparing to celebrate its first year in business, and they're doing it up big by launching a seven-course tasting menu.
As a press release explains, the seven courses will be divided into three categories: Snacks, Savory, and Sweet. "Sample Snacks on the inaugural menu include Roasted Carrot with brown butter, and hazelnuts; Sunchoke with oyster, kale, and nasturtium; Savory dishes include Pickled Salted Grouper with cauliflower, and lemon; Dry aged local ribeye, marrow vinaigrette; and Sweet options including Lemon Sorbet with coriander, and celery, and an O.G. (original milk chocolate brownie) from Oh* Brownie for the road."
The tasting menu is priced at $95 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity; wine pairings will be available for an additional cost. Next Tuesday, October 15 is the first night the tasting menu will be available; after that, it will be available every Tuesday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Stay tuned later this week for a chat with Chef McCallister about FT33's first year in biz, upcoming projects and more.
