Henderson Tap House Going Into Old Snack Spot

The Henderson Avenue space vacated by Snack (and before that, Horne & Dekker) is finally getting a new tenant: Henderson Tap House promises "a gastro pub infused menu," "late night brick oven pizzas," "legendary happy hour parties," and an "extra-large covered patio." (Hold on, how can something that hasn't even happened yet be legendary?)

They will also have a strict dress code enforced after 9 p.m. that includes sorta-awesome rules like "Pardon me, Sir Gangster? Your trousers are descending," "Only 1 Tapout Shirt per group," and "You can wear Affliction or Ed Hardy, but we may laugh." Less awesome is their slogan, which is "I'd tap that!" Ehhh. (Even less awesome is the promo flyer for a weekly event called Blurred Lines Saturdays which appears to be a reference to the extremely rape-y Robin Thicke song.)

The website gives no clues as to the ownership behind the venture, but there is an absolutely insanely long menu that reads like a copy of War & Peace (not to mention a plethora of unnecessary apostrophes). Craft cocktail fans may not find much to like here, with drinks including ingredients like sour mix and raspberry schnapps — but wait! There's also "The World Famous Upside Down Rodeo Clown," a "secret signature multi Liquor drink with an upside down Red Bull can served in a Schooner Glass." Lord help us. (To their credit, there are several local spirits on the menu; the beer selection isn't listed.)
