The hordes of holiday shoppers stalking NorthPark Center now have a new place to refuel: Green House Market opened Friday, brought to you by the creators of Green House, one of the first food trucks to hit the city streets. The bright, airy and modern space located on the upper level behind the movie theater offers counter service, to-go options, wi-fi to encourage patrons to linger and even a patio.

Other features of note include a coffee bar that serves cult favorite Blue Bottle coffee, the presence of recycling bins for customer use, and a wall of items like jams and chocolates for take-home purchases. In keeping with the mall's penchant for showcasing artwork, Green House has a curated art program that will rotate many of the works on display periodically to showcase both local and international artists.

The menu includes holdovers from the truck like ciabatta sandwiches with walnut pesto and choice of protein, but there's also a ton of fresh options including Wagyu beef chili; more than a dozen different salads like kale and white bean, soba noodle with seaweed, and lentil with vegetables and brown rice stir-frys, plus a couple protein-centric entree plates including flank steak sourced from McKinney's Local Yocal and all-natural chicken from Fran's Fryers. Green House is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
