Shannon Wynne's Bird Cafe Flies Into Downtown Ft. Worth

Restaurateur and lover of flying things Shannon Wynne debuts his newest venture today at 5 p.m. in Fort Worth's Sundance Square, and Bird Cafe's menu will look mighty familiar to anyone who frequents his ever-popular Design District spot the Meddlesome Moth — it's basically exactly the same creative, upscale gastropubby fare that you'll find there from veteran chef David McMillan. (No word yet on how many different beers the Bird will offer, but based on Wynne's other ventures you can count on a pretty healthy selection.)

The Bird is split between two levels and has a generously sized patio; fans of Wynne's other establishments (the Moth, Flying Saucer, Lark on the Park) will feel right at home with the decor, which includes some of the same lime green stools and chairs found at Lark, plus plenty of bird-themed art by local artists Scott and Stuart Gentling.

Read on for Bird Cafe's menu, or stop by yourself to scope it out — doors open today at 5 p.m. and the Bird will be open for lunch and dinner daily.
