Dallas Bourbon Tour; New Blood at FT33

BOURBON WIRE—A couple New York food bloggers went on a (heavily sponsored) eating and bourbon-swilling tour of Dallas. Stops included Acme F&B (where they deemed the steak tartare passable and the donut holes delectable), Bolsa (housemade rabbit sausage was a standout), and Woodshed Smokehouse (the smoky ramen was particularly memorable). DESIGN DISTRICT—Earlier today word surfaced that FT33 general manager and sommelier Ryan Tedder was parting ways with the restaurant. Taking over his position will be Jeffrey Gregory, a Le Cordon Bleu hospitality instructor who previously oversaw the wine program at Rise No. 1. [Eats Blog]

UPPER GREENVILLE—Healthy drive-thru destination Start is now serving brunch items on Saturdays and Sundays, including a "breakfast-sized" grass-fed burger, plus mimosas — but you'll have to dine in for the booze. Sundays will also feature live music from noon to 2 p.m. [Eaterwire]
