Tanoshi Ramen co-owner Chi Le sends word that the highly anticipated restaurant's opening date is now slated for the end of March, rather than the end of February or early March as previously thought.
Tanoshi, which is going into the old Baker's Ribs space next to Angry Dog in Deep Ellum, will be the city's first restaurant to specialize in the Japanese noodle soup — and not a moment too soon, as Dallas hungers for a taste of the ramen craze currently sweeping the country. (Meanwhile, Austin currently boasts Ramen Tatsu-ya, Michi Ramen, and soon, Komé, not to mention the crazy ramen flavors Paul Qui's East Side King is putting out.)
In the meantime, ramen fiends can stalk Tanoshi's Facebook page (or the official website), though there's not much up yet besides a clean, minimal logo and some monkey paintings.
