Peak & Elm, Pop Diner, Hofmann Hots Open

It's been a helluva couple days for openings. Here are three new spots to eat this weekend:

1) Peak & Elm, the new Mexican restaurant from the owners of La Popular Tamale House, opens its doors at 5 p.m. For a look at the rustic-casual interior, scope out these photos by Stephen Masker, and survey the menu here. [EDFW]

2) Hofmann Hots, the new hot dog joint at Trinity Groves, is open today with retro decor and a decidedly newfangled menu, like a Himalayan dog with curry aioli. Matthew Shelley did a thorough investigation this morning. [SideDish]

3) Pop Diner, the West Village's first 24-hour dining option, soft-opened yesterday. The full menu, which includes items like "naanis" (pita sandwiches of sorts), burgers, and breakfast, is available and the bar is up and running with boozy milkshakes and flavored martinis, but carryout won't be available till sometime next week. The Observer's Catherine Downes has photos. [City of Ate]
