Restaurateur Shannon Wynne (Meddlesome Moth, Flying Saucer) debuted his long-awaited Lark on the Park Friday night at Klyde Warren Park, finally filling a niche for parkgoers not satisfied with food truck fare or tacos from nearby La Ventana.
Husband-and-wife chef team Dennis Kelley and Melody Bishop hail from Los Angeles, where they both cooked at renowned chef Suzanne Goin's Tavern. The menu features a selection of shared plates like cheese and charcuterie plates, and beef carpaccio or chicken skewers imbued with Asian flavors like coconut milk, fresh chili, and ginger; entrees include a smoked duck breast with quinoa and kumquats, coq au vin with gnocchi, and the requisite seared scallops over risotto.
Curious diners who want to check out Lark best make a reservation, though — according to SideDish, Lark won't be taking any walk-ins for now. (The good news: There's still plenty of prime-time slots left via OpenTable.)
