Taco Festival Coming to Deep Ellum Next Month

Representatives for the previously announced first ever North Texas Taco Festival have just announced that the event will be held in Deep Ellum, on Main Street between Malcolm X and Crowdus.

A lengthy list of taco vendors will be present hawking their wares: El Tizoncito, Velvet Taco, Rusty Taco, Revolver Taco Lounge, Chile Pepper Grill, Taco Party, Urban Taco, and La Nueva Fresh & Hot Tortilleria.

Besides taco-eating, there will also be taco-making — a Taco Throwdown will pit well-known chefs like Brian Luscher of The Grape and Randall Copeland of Restaurant Ava against one another to see who can create the tastiest taco.

NTTF will take place Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.; no tickets or admission charge, just show up and pay for your tacos with cold hard cash.
