Tim Love's Queenie's is 'Getting Very Close' to Opening

Denton's newest steakhouse, dubbed Queenie's by its Tuaca-swilling, Top Chef-judging owner, chef Tim Love, is "getting very close" to opening, according to a tweet by the chef.

Love, who announced the restaurant's name in early February via Twitter, dropped several hints about the eatery's vibe and atmosphere throughout the month of February, taking to Twitter yet again to post photos of the construction progress and "menu testing".

Renovations at the space continue to move along, with a big ol' "Q" already strategically emblazoned on its front door off East Hickory. (The spot was previously occupied by a branch of Love's burger joint, Love Shack, which shuttered back in October after only a year and a half in business.)

Queenie's also announced a need for new royal subjects — er, employees — posting both a "Now Hiring" sign in the window and a help wanted ad via Craigslist. Stay tuned for more Queenie's details as Love reveals them.
