Now Open in Frisco, A Brazilian Steakhouse Owned By Real Live Brazilians

New, 2 comments

Just opened at Frisco's behemoth shopping mecca Stonebriar Centre is Estilo Gaucho, which claims to be "the only local Brazilian steakhouse owned and operated by Brazilians in the DFW area". Seems the owners, who are brothers-in-law, previously worked for a couple of the other Brazilian steakhouse chains and created the concept in an effort to "provide a more authentic experience".

Anyone who's been to competitors Texas de Brazil or Rafain knows the drill, though — hit up the impressively stocked salad bar to whet your appetite with veggies, cheeses, and cured meats, then flip your coaster from red to green and prepare to gorge yourself on an incredible variety of meats, all sliced directly onto your plate by "gauchos" (which is of course Spanish for "dapper men in really wide-legged pants"). Just be sure to get all your shopping done prior to dinner, because a meat coma is imminent.

Estilo Gaucho is open for lunch ($24.50) Monday through Friday and dinner ($38.50) 7 days a week; vegetarians tagging along for the ride can go salad bar-only for $19.50.
