The boom of new barbecue joint openings continues with the debut of FM Smoke House, brought to you by the owners of Plano's Holy Grail Pub.

Like the recently opened Kenny's Smoke House in Plano, FM is putting a bit of an upscale twist on things — besides smoked meats like pulled pork and bacon-injected brisket, the Irving restaurant will also feature housemade hot dogs, fancy-sounding sides like smoked beet and Brussels sprout salad, a mile-long list of whiskey and Scotch selections, plenty of local craft beer, and even house infused vodkas (Meyer lemon lavender martini, anyone?).

FM Smoke House officially opens to the public on Monday, after which they'll be open 7 days a week from 10:45 a.m. to midnight; they're offering a special "sneak preview" this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight for anyone chomping at the bit for a taste of their 'cue.
