Opening April 8th near Parker and the Dallas North Tollway is the first DFW branch of Newk's Eatery, an "express casual dining" chain from the founders of McAlister's Deli. Newk's will feature salads, sandwiches, and "California-style" pizzas — think barbecue chicken and spicy shrimp varieties — in a bid to draw the West Plano lunch crowds. [Eaterwire]
