The Meatball Trend Finally Reaches Dallas with Zeno's

The meatball trend that's hit New York, L.A., and even Denver in recent years is finally making its way to Dallas with the impending arrival of Zeno's Meatball Kitchen, which according to Teresa Gubbins will open April 22 in Northeast Dallas.

Zeno's is the brainchild of chef Doug Brown (Beyond the Box, Dish, Nana) and will feature eight varieties of meatballs utilizing various meats like chicken, chorizo, turkey, and beef, and all bearing "cutesy ball-themed names" like "Mama's Balls" (yikes), "Blue Balls", and "Great Balls of Fire".

The meatballs are available solo and will also find their way into sandwiches, salads and baked potatoes; chili, cheese fries, and milkshakes — including a now-requisite salted caramel version — round out the menu. (Scope out the full menu at Zeno's website.)

Brown tells CultureMap that Zeno's won't serve any alcohol, instead choosing to focus on bringing in the lunch crowds.
