Hypnotic Donuts' Minimum Wage Burger

Created specially for Eater Dallas Burger Week is this beauty from White Rock donut mavens Hypnotic Donuts. As evil donut genius/owner James St. Peter explains, "The name stems from the fact that we usually do not make burgers so it took us an hour to make the first one." (Also, it's $7.25, which just happens to be the minimum hourly wage here in Texas.)

The Minimum Wage burger starts with a half-pound patty that's got fresh jalapenos and goat cheese mixed right in; the burger is perched on a housemade yeast-raised bun that's got bacon inside it (!!) and is topped off with a sprinkling of poppy seeds. Then it's topped off with more bacon, fried pickles, more crumbled goat cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a creamy avocado-ranch spread. This glorious creation can be found at Hypnotic Donuts through Thursday of this week.
