Nestled into the heart of Fort Worth's West 7th development, Chef Jon Bonnell opened the doors of his latest concept — officially called Waters Bonnell's Coastal Cuisine — for a packed Easter brunch and it's been going strong ever since.
A showcase for seasonal (and sustainable) seafood, the restaurant also showcases a beautiful and upscale interior that's highlighted by subtle reminders of the coast. Tones of black, white, blue, and green flow throughout while oyster shells, woods, and metals help build a cohesive feel that bridges the gap between the beach and the banks of the Trinity. Add in the magnificent floor-to-ceiling glass that lines the front of the restaurant, and the Waters interior is one that not only stands out, but also fits comfortably into the neighborhood it calls home.
As for the menu, it's just what you'd expect from a chef who has spent the last decade operating one of the top restaurants in Fort Worth (Bonnell's Fine Texas Cuisine). The offerings include everything from a curated raw bar and crispy crawfish and andouille spring rolls, to a Duroc pork porterhouse and any number of daily seafood specials. Also of note is the massive wine list, which is stored in the striking walk-in wine storage located near the front entry.
Scope out the dinner menu and a sample menu of daily seafood specials below.
