East Dallas residents, rejoice: The wait is finally over. Cane Rosso's White Rock location makes its long-awaited debut tonight. Here's a sneak peek into the space as it appeared late last week in its unfinished state. (The expansive patio isn't quite complete, but considering today's sub-Arctic temperatures, that matters little.) Be forewarned, it's tucked back into a shopping center and can be a little difficult to find at first; be sure to consult Jay Jerrier's handy-dandy map.
The new sibling to the OG Deep Ellum pizzeria is large, bright, and open, with a slick red-tiled bar and multiple seating areas. Like its predecessor, Cane Rosso White Rock will only offer beer and wine, but they're stepping up their beverage options: Bartender Chris Burns (formerly of Park) has created a varied selection of beer- and wine-based cocktails utilizing ingredients like fresh citrus, rosemary-infused simple syrup, San Pellegrino sodas, and cocktail bitters.
According to City of Ate, hours are as follows for now: Monday through Thursday, 5-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 4-11 p.m., Sunday 4-9 p.m. Patrons can BYOB on Mondays.
