Once-controversial chef John Tesar has become quite the Dallas darling with his newest restaurant Spoon Bar & Kitchen, who opened back in June and has received rave reviews from every critic in town. Now, six months in, the Preston Center restaurant is preparing to debut lunch and brunch service beginning Sunday, May 12th, when they'll offer a special Mother's Day brunch menu.
The lunch menu features some carryovers from the dinner menu like crudos, clam chowder, and a Le Bernadin-style raw tuna and foie gras dish; there's also plenty of new additions, including seafood "ramen", a $30 king crab Cobb salad and sandwiches like a swordfish club and a tempura soft-shell crab BLT.
Spoon's lunch menu will be offered Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and brunch will be served Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
