We've known for some time that Austin-based Japanese phenomenon Uchi was headed to Dallas, but now the Uchi camp sends official word: They've secured a site at 2817 Maple Avenue.
According to the press release, "The cuisine will meld the best offerings of the first Uchi and [chef Tyson] Cole's second Austin concept, Uchiko, much like Uchi Houston which opened February 2012."
The bad news? It won't open till late 2014 or early 2015.
