Yes, another upscale bowling alley is on the horizon: This one's called Bowlounge (see what they did there?), and it's slated to open soon in the Design District.
CraveDFW reports that Twisted Root Burger Co. is behind the food ("elevated bowling alley fair [sp]", of course), and cocktail wizard Jason Kosmas is responsible for the beverage program, which will include craft cocktails on draft.
If this all sounds quite familiar, that's probably because it sounds like the same concept as Bowl & Barrel, which opened at the Shops at Park Lane back in November with a menu by Chef Sharon Hage. Reviews of the upscale bowling alley-slash-bar-slash restaurant have been mixed, with many patrons (and critic Leslie Brenner) complaining of the exorbitant price point.
Stay tuned to Bowlounge's Facebook page for more details as they get closer to opening.
