Scope Out WORK. in Deep Ellum

Here's a look inside WORK Bar & Grill, recently opened in the (very) old Sambuca space near Elm and Good Latimer. The interior is surprisingly classy for a place that serves up barbecue and boobs via a crew of waitresses clad in knee-high socks and cleavage-baring blouses (and dudes will probably have better luck telling their spouses they've been at "WORK" rather than "Hooters"). Said barbecue includes a signature "sugar cookie" brisket rubbed with brown sugar, baby back ribs, and whole chickens being turned out by a real-deal wood-fueled smoker; there's also gussied-up bar food like wings, potato skins, po boys, buffalo-fried oysters, and duck quesadillas, and of course, plenty of local beer on tap.
