UPTOWN—Attention celiacs and carbophobes: Max's Wine Dive now offers their famous fried chicken in a gluten-free variety. The chicken is "made with a blend of gluten free flour and dried cauliflower fibers," and it's also prepared in a separate fryer to avoid cross-contamination. [Eaterwire]

UPTOWN—Small plates hotness Belly & Trumpet is now offering oysters and half-price champagne on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to close. [UrbanDaddy]

BBQ WIRE—In a blind taste-testing of the city's chopped beef options, Pecan Lodge came out on top. Color us shocked. (As far as the rest of the competitors go: Off the Bone is quite sweet, Baker's Ribs too bland, and Sonny Bryan's too stringy.) [SideDish]
