Here's a look inside Bowlounge, the new bowling alley that recently opened in the Design District to give competitor Bowl & Barrel a run for its money. With portraits of The Big Lebowski characters adorning the walls, a bar lined with bowling pins, and sparkly silver vinyl booths, all 12 lanes ooze retro bowling awesomeness.

A diverse menu by Twisted Root Burger Co. offers everything from pimento cheese and crackers to ribeye tacos garnished with blue cheese and pork rinds, and of course a selection of classic Twisted Root burgers like The Western (pepper jack, bacon, fried onions and jalapenos). There's no shortage of beverage options, either, from banana pudding milkshakes to craft beer and a full selection of cocktails (including several on draft) designed by bar wizard Jason Kosmas.

Bowlounge is open Sunday through Wednesday 11 a.m. to midnight, and Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
