Devotees of the juicing trend have a new altar to worship at: Nekter Juice Bar opened yesterday in Snider Plaza, and the place is already packed with Park Cities folks looking for a fix. While the California export certainly won't win any awards for spelling, health nuts and rabid kale fans will find plenty to like here, with juice blends like The Greenie, Nekter's "signature drink" made with parsley, spinach, kale, celery, cucumber, lemon and apple; plus an option to custom-make your own blend from options as far-fetched as broccoli and beets.
There's also smoothies made with cashew milk and agave, acai breakfast bowls, and that fragrant staple of juice bars everywhere, wheatgrass shots, plus multi-day juice cleansing programs (at the somewhat jaw-dropping price of $300 for 5 days).
Nekter is open Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m.-6 p.m; swing by their grand opening on Friday, July 19th from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. for free drinks.
