Starting right about now and going until oh, say 5 p.m. Friday, we'll be taking a closer look at the good ol' American diner and what makes it tick. We'll learn how many chicken-fried steaks a popular diner sells in a month (hint: a lot), talk to a long-time diner employee, experience a day in the life of a diner waitress, and probably tell you more than you ever wanted to know about a particular breed of sandwich.
