Awesome news for Deep Ellum denizens: Alligator Cafe is moving in. The Cajun cuisine favorite that moved on up from its Old East Dallas digs to a shinier, newer Casa Linda location last spring is now taking over the old Rosemont space on Elm Street for a second location. (Chef Tracy Miller's breakfast-and-lunch spot was open there for just 8 months.)
Nancy Nichols reports that the new location "will probably do counter service and sell only beer and wine," and there will be a patio as well. They hope to open by the beginning of September (by which time perhaps the weather will be tolerable enough to utilize said patio).
