Fuzzy's Taco Shop Opens Doors in Deep Ellum

Deep Ellum has a new chain restaurant: Fort Worth-based Fuzzy's Taco Shop, which now boasts more than 60 locations across 11 states, joins the likes of Subway and Which Wich to provide Deep Ellumers with an extensive menu of tacos, nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and other vaguely Mexican fare.

Sandwiched between several bars including Wit's End, Black Swan Saloon and Three Links (with which the taco shop shares ownership), the new spot will no doubt get plenty of post-drinking business, though they're only open until midnight, which seems curious given the prime opportunity for late-night crowds.

The best thing about Fuzzy's arrival is probably the all-day availability of breakfast tacos beginning as early as 7 a.m. on weekdays, as the neighborhood's tortilla-wrapped breakfast sector took a hit when Santiago's Taco Loco closed recently. Another plus: There's plenty of cold beer on tap, including local selections.

Fuzzy's is open Monday through Wednesday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday through Friday 7 a.m. to midnight, Saturday 9 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
