Frozen Drinks to Beat the Heat; Bubble Tea Truck

DEEP ELLUM—Classy newcomer Twilite Lounge has just added frozen Jack and Cokes to their chilly beverage lineup (they've also got frozen Irish Coffees). Because in case you haven't noticed, it's like a million degrees outside. [Eaterwire]

WEST VILLAGE—Max's Wine Dive is going whole hog (err, whole lobster?) with an over-the-top new dish: deep-fried jalapeno buttermilk-battered lobster tail served with lobster-mushroom mashed potatoes and lobster jus. Are ($42) fried lobster tails the new chicken-fried ribeye? UPDATE: In case you're wondering, critic Leslie Brenner thinks chicken-fried lobster is a travesty. [Eaterwire]

DOWNTOWN—Attention boba tea fans: there's a new boba source in town called Brainfreeze Drinks. Catch their truck at the Omni Hotel downtown this Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (they also have smoothies, iced coffee and iced tea if you're not into little chewy balls in your beverages). Hey Max, you might wanna change your staff t-shirts to say "lobster" instead of "chicken." [Photo credit: Max's Wine Dive/Facebook]
