Yesterday word surfaced that Del Frisco's co-founder Dee Lincoln would open a new concept in the former JoJo Eating House & Bar space on Howell Street near the Quadrangle in September.
Today, a press release offers more details on Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar: The menu will be comprised of "core starters with a creative approach, 8-10 unique burgers, three cuts of steaks, daily blackboard features of a butchers cut and fresh catch of the day, 100 wines under $100, local beer and a craft cocktail program showcasing Texas spirits." Steaks will be sourced from Texan purveyors Windy Bar Ranch and Beeman Family Ranch.
The kitchen will be led by Juliard Ishizuka, whose lengthy resume includes stints at The Mansion on Turtle Creek, Fuse, the Omni Hotel in Fort Worth, and most recently, Lincoln's Bubble Bar & Dining Room in Uptown. General manager Anthony Porcaro put in nearly a decade at Nick & Sam's, and also owned and operated the ill-fated Bella that used to be located in the very same spot where the new venture is opening.
Stay tuned to see how the JoJo interior will be transformed (the press release offers few clues, saying only that it will be "comfortable and relaxed). Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar will be open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, dinner only on Saturdays, and closed Sundays (sorry, brunchers).
