Design District darling Oak has finally appointed a new executive chef: According to co-owner Tiffanee Ellman, Richard Gras was most recently chef de cuisine at The St. Regis in Bal Harbour, Florida, where he ran the show at Jean Georges Vongerichten's J&G Grill. He'll begin his new gig at Oak on July 15th.
Gras replaces original Oak chef Jason Maddy, who departed the restaurant for personal health reasons back in May; chef de cuisine Thomas Gray has been running the kitchen in the interim.
