Another food truck festival approaches: This one is called Global Street Feast and will take place in what developer/event organizer Harwood International calls the Harwood District (we just call it Uptown). The aim of the event is to "take guests on an international tour" by way of their tastebuds, and they aim to do that with the help of several of the city's globe-trotting food trucks, including BoBaddiction, Little Greek, Mr. Snowie, Salsa Limon, SsahmBBQ, Sweetie V's, and Taste of Cuba.
In addition to live music, Harwood's three restaurants Marie Gabrielle, Mercat Bistro and Saint Ann will be doing cooking demos, and picnic blankets and umbrellas will be provided for all your butt-cushioning and sun-shielding needs. A Veuve Clicquot Airstream trailer will be present pouring bubbly, and the flyer also promises cocktails.
Show up to 2501 N. Harwood Street between noon and 7 p.m. next Saturday, August 24 to get in on the action; best of all, admission is free.
