Emporium Pies to Hit Downtown McKinney This Fall

New, 2 comments

Excellent news for the northern 'burbs today: Oak Cliff's smash-hit indie pie shop Emporium Pies is expanding with a second location in downtown McKinney.

The new outpost will serve the same varieties of pie as the Bishop Arts location, including the chocolatey, pretzel-crusted Smooth Operator and the bourbon-pecan Drunken Nut. Co-owners Megan Wilkes and Mary Sparks will split their time between both locations.

The vintage feel of Emporium is clearly a perfect fit for McKinney's historic downtown square, which draws folks from all over the DFW area to patronize its plethora of antique shops and wineries, plus an eclectic assortment of restaurants. Look for the new location to open sometime this fall (in plenty of time for the holiday dessert rush).
