SAN ANTONIO—Mark your calendars for Meatopia: The tenth annual celebration of all things meaty hosted by Esquire's Josh Ozersky will hit San Antonio's Pearl Brewery November 2-3 with a star-studded chef lineup including our very own Tim Byres and John Tesar, Austin darling Paul Qui, Chris Shepherd of Houston's Underbelly, and thirty or so more from all over the country. Tickets aren't exactly cheap, starting at $75 for the non-VIP plebeian tickets, but the itinerary promises plenty of dry-aged prime steak, wild game, beer gardens, booze, and did we mention meat? DESIGN DISTRICT—The Wine Poste and Cafe Momentum are teaming up for an outdoor Harvest Moon dinner featuring the talents of Chad Houser, Pecan Lodge pitmaster Justin Fourton, Central 214's Graham Dodds and Matt Ford of soon-to-open CBD Provisions along with plenty of local produce (and a whole roast Red Wattle pig). The dinner will take place outside The Wine Poste on September 19 at 7 p.m.; tickets, which go on sale this Sunday, are $125 per person and include wine pairings. [Eaterwire]
OAK CLIFF—The inaugural Dallas Mojito Pour Off has been canceled due to scheduling conflicts, with no mention of rescheduling it for a future date. Please resume your regularly scheduled programming of annoying your neighborhood bartender with requests for muddled mint drinks. [Eaterwire]
