Holy Crap Fort Worth is Finally Getting a Cane Rosso

Jay Jerrier just can't sit still. Fresh off the much-blogged-about opening of Zoli's NY Pizza Tavern, he's now beginning work on a new Cane Rosso in Fort Worth.

Jerrier has openly discussed the prospect of expanding to Fort Worth many times before, but said they'd never quite found the right location — until now. The Neapolitan pizza guru has leased a space on West Magnolia Avenue that was formerly occupied by Ryan's Fine Grocery & Delicatessen, which quietly shuttered back in July. (Perhaps those $28 lobster rolls weren't going over so well with the locals?)

As for an opening date, we'd venture to guess sometime late this year — Jerrier tells CultureMap they intend to "start work on it right away," which will include the construction of a bar and an open pizza kitchen and having a pizza oven imported from Italy.
