Stephan Pyles is on the move, but don't worry: he's not going far. The beloved chef/restaurateur's eponymous Arts District restaurant will relocate to the fancy new Hall Arts Center currently being built across from the Meyerson Symphony Center.
This morning marked the groundbreaking of the 18-story mixed-use building, so the move won't happen for quite some time: 2015, according to a tweet by the Arts District's executive director, Catherine Cuellar.
As Carol Shih points out, "This means two of Pyles' restaurants—Samar and Stephan Pyles—are/will be undergoing some serious remodeling this year and the next." (One can probably assume the shiny-and-new Stampede 66 should be good for at least another decade or so.)
