Long-awaited Taverna Rossa, the Cadillac Pizza Pub offshoot boasting a menu designed by Brian Luscher of The Grape, will open its West Plano doors very soon, and they've finally revealed a full menu.
As promised, there's a selection of creatively-topped stone-fired pizzas, including one called The Hunter that will be topped with garlic-onion marmalade, slices of Texas beef and roquefort cheese, and the Kona Fire Pie, which puts a twist on the usual pork-and-pineapple Hawaiian combo with the addition ofcashews and jalapenos (pickled in-house). Starters include a trio of dips served oh-so-trendily in Mason jars, whole roasted artichokes, queso with local sausage (and the option to add smoked brisket), and baked chicken wings with a Calabrian chili sauce.
There's also salads, including a Caesar, a wedge, and a caprese with tomatoes from local farmer J.T. Lemley, pastas such as a brisket lasagna, and a handful of sandwiches including a meatball grinder, roasted pork with broccoli rabe, and a BLT with pancetta and a fried egg.
The drink menu promises 24 beers on tap, with local selections from Peticolas, Revolver, and Franconia, and a dozen or so craft cocktails, including The Deep South, with bacon-infused bourbon, sweet vermouth, bitters, orange juice and local honey.
