Zoli's Reserves the Best Part of the Unicorn for Yelpers

New, 1 comment

A unicorn is perhaps not the expected mascot for a New York-style pizza joint, but such is the case at Zoli's NY Pizza Tavern, the casual slice joint from Cane Rosso owner Jay Jerrier that opened recently in Oak Cliff. There's a unicorn head hanging on the wall, the menu touts unicorn tears as a (free) pizza topping, and now, they're offering the best part of the mythical creature to Yelp reviewers: the taint.

This amazingly informative (and highly accurate, no doubt) diagram of unicorn anatomy was posted on the Zoli's Facebook page with the following caption: "It's no secret that we use a lot of unicorn tears in our recipes, but we thought you might be interested in where the rest of the prime cuts go."

Jerrier has long been a vocal critic of Yelpers, and it's hard to blame him given things like this. On the topic of the ever-controversial user review site, he had this to say: "Yelp is just very frustrating as it gives a high google index platform for passive aggressive people to bitch. Do they think we are trying to piss them off? Do they think we wouldn't love the opportunity to fix something while they are in the restaurant? Or would they rather scurry home and fire anonymous shots?"
