Ten months after the unexpected passing of creative cocktail master Keith Labonte, a new concept will rise in the State Thomas space that formerly housed his bar Four Lounge.
Just weeks after landing at Kent Rathbun's fine dining spot Abacus, bartender-about-town Eddie "Lucky" Campbell is already on the move; SideDish reports that Campbell, with the help of an unnamed investor, is on the brink of opening a bar called Parliament.
Campbell tells SideDish that they "hope to honor Keith and his work" with the new bar, which they plan to open this week. Let's hope it lasts longer than The Chesterfield, the sadly short-lived downtown cocktail den with the impressive leather-bound menu where Campbell ran the show before things with partner (and one-time steakhouse mogul) Ed Bailey went sour.
