Former Pakpao Chef to Open Thai Spot in Fort Worth

Just two short weeks after the announcement came that Pakpao Thai in the Design District was parting ways with its opening chef Eddy Thretipthuangsin, CultureMap's Teresa Gubbins reports that the Thai native has secured a spot in downtown Fort Worth for a new venture.

As Gubbins points out, it's another big win for Fort Worth, which has been in the dining headlines quite a bit lately with the openings of Shannon Wynne's Bird Cafe, AF+B and Velvet Taco, plus the impending openings of Cane Rosso and DFW's first "farm-to-cone" ice cream shop.

Stay tuned for more details later in the week, but for now, Gubbins says the restaurant should open in the spring and will "focus on the same upscale Thai" that Thretipthuangsin was known for at Pakpao.
