Barter Now Serving Lunch (and Happy Hour) in Uptown

Private Social replacement Barter has been packed with Uptown crowds eager to sample the Tim Love-designed menu since it opened last month, and now the rustic-chic restaurant is expanding its hours: Barter will now be open for lunch Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Every weekday that's followed by a happy hour that kicks off at 3 p.m. with $3 beer, $5 specialty cocktails and $7 wine — and in this case, $5 cocktails are nothing to sneeze at. Barman Rocco Milano has consistently been hailed as one of the city's finest bartenders, and with regularly priced cocktails starting out at $9 that's a pretty sweet deal. (Plus, the deliciously sloppy turkey poutine is pretty much one of the best drunk snacks anyone could ask for.)

Barter's lunch menu will look familiar to anyone who's visited for dinner, but there are a few new items like a shaved tenderloin sandwich and Texas chili with cornbread. Check it out:
