Restaurant group Consilient continues its apparent quest to dominate the DFW dining scene this Friday with the debut of its latest venture AF+B. Yes, the follow-up to the group's "smashingly good" CBD Provisions at The Joule is also named with an acronym, although this one is located in Fort Worth's oh-so-trendy West 7th district and posits itself as a a "lively neighborhood tavern." (A tavern, not a bar, because what bar has $29 beef ribs and roasted rutabaga?)
Serious Dallas diners need no introduction to AF+B's chef; it's Jeff Harris, who first dazzled from behind the stove at the now-defunct Craft Dallas then moved onto Oak Cliff farm-to-table darling Bolsa before being snatched up by Consilient back in October.
AF+B opens Friday for dinner; reservations are currently available via OpenTable for what will likely be one of the most talked-about openings of the first half of 2014.
