Driftwood's New Fall Menu; Homage to Stephan Pyles

Fall is in the air at Driftwood; State Fair foods at Holy Grail Pub; charity dinner at Stephan Pyles.

Driftwood

OAK CLIFF—'Tis the season for new fall menus: Driftwood's got an array of new dishes including skate wing with roasted parsnips and celery root puree, beef Wellington with foie gras, and a double pork chop with butternut squash puree and fig jam. [EaterWire]

PLANO—Holy Grail Pub will honor Big Tex with a week of State Fair-themed foods from October 6 through 12: housemade corn dogs, deep-fried candied bacon and a "Texas Monte Cristo brisket sandwich" (which is also deep-fried, naturally). [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN—Stephan Pyles Restaurant will host A Night Out For No Kid Hungry: A Stephan Pyles Reunion Dinner on November 2 at 6 p.m. Featured chefs will include Matt McCallister, Tim Byres, Katherine Clapner, Graham Dodds, Danyele McPherson and more people that have passed through the kitchen at SP paying homage to the iconic chef. Tickets are pricey at $250, but hey, it is for a good cause. More details here. [EaterWire]
