FAIR PARK—Getting drunk at the State Fair of Texas can be a very, very expensive endeavor. Thankfully, some kind folks now have a booth offering six-ticket beer — that's right, it's just $3 instead of the usual 12 tickets/$6. [Central Track]

LOWER GREENVILLE—Shiva's has plenty of lunch specials, in case you needed any coaxing to try the recently opened Indian restaurant. Chicken tikka masala with rice and naan is just $10, and there are plenty of other options too, from vindaloo to biryani. [Shiva's/Facebook]
