EAST DALLAS—Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House has a brand-spanking-new menu. Plenty of old favorites have stuck around, joined by new creations like the Chinstrap burger (bacon mousse, Amish blue cheese, and crispy bacon), a lamb burger with tzatziki, a fancy Scardello-sourced cheese board, and more. LOVERS LANE—Empire Baking Company's next pastry pop-up will feature Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek pastry chef Nicolas Blouin. The event takes place November 8 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (or till sold out) at the Lovers Lane shop. Expect fancy French-inspired pastries like pumpkin verrine, apple-pistachio tarts, macarons, and various "petit gateau"; scope out the full selection here.
