UPTOWN—Stampede 66 is throwing a Fiesta de La Vida (AKA a Halloween party) this Friday from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Tickets are $60 in advance, $75 at the door and include live music, unlimited beer (with nine different Lakewood brews to choose from) and candy, plus food including fried chicken, "Freeto" pie, tacos, and tamales. Drink specials like $3 wells, $4 wines, and $5 Champagne will be in effect all night. A costume contest will offer prizes for best, least effort (yay!), and "most seductive." Call (214) 550-6966 to snag tickets.

FORT WORTH—The Camp Bowie District and Rahr & Sons are hosting a Meow-O-Ween Pub Prowl this Thursday night starting at 5 p.m. with four stops including Oscar's Pub and Jakes Hamburgers. $10 gets you a commemorative pint glass and your first Rahr beer; refills are $3 and there will be specials on food. In case you needed an excuse to dress up like a cat and get drunk, cat costumes are encouraged and a prize will be awarded for the best one.

DOWNTOWN—Taqueria La Ventana will celebrate Dia de Los Muertos this Sunday from 5-10 p.m. with live music, a ceremonial altar on the patio, and calavera face-painting; they'll be serving pan de muerto and atole, a traditional masa-based drink. The 21-and-up crowd can indulge in a craft beer tasting and a mezcal sampling. [EaterWire]
