Uptown sports bar standby Frankie's unexpectedly shuttered last year after 13 years on McKinney Avenue, and now it's found a new home: According to Sarah Blaskovich, "Frankie’s will occupy two stories in The Davis Building in the 1300 block of Main Street" when it reopens next spring. Lucky Campbell of Parliament will help concept a new cocktail menu, which is certainly promising news; the food menu will also be largely overhauled, says Blaskovich.
Frankie's isn't the only beloved Uptown bar to pack its bags for greener pastures in recent months; fellow McKinney Avenue residents Sfuzzi and Primo's both closed in the last year and have recently found new homes. The former will take over the old Naan Sushi space at the Gables Villa Rosa complex, while the latter is slated for the 1400 Hi-Line residential building in the Design District.
