Here's a look inside Joy Macarons, which opened last week in Oak Cliff's Bishop Arts District. Owner and macaron master Liz Lanier originally began baking out of her home and previously sold her confections at the Dallas Farmers Market, but now her delicate French cookies have a home all their own. Expect an array of flavors for every palate, from classics like pistachio, raspberry, and almond to more exotic selections like violet-black currant, rose-lychee and honey-lavender, plus salted caramel, Italian cream, and chocolate chip, all priced at $2 each.
JOY Macarons is closed Mondays, so you'll have to wait till tomorrow to get your fancy cookie fix; store hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
