The currently-under-construction development at Walnut Hill and Central Expressway known as Preston Hollow Village has officially announced its phase one restaurant tenants. In addition to the previously announced second location of Pakpao Thai, CultureMap's Teresa Gubbins reports the mixed-use district will also include:
Blue Sushi Sake Grill: Chain with half-a-dozen existing locations including one at Fort Worth's Museum Place. Expect sashimi, Americanized sushi rolls (including vegetarian options with radishes, cucumber, barbecue seitan, sweet potato tempura, and more), the ubiquitous tuna tower, edamame hummus, chicken lettuce wraps, crab rangoon, plenty of sake, and "signature martinis" in flavors like cucumber, watermelon, and peach. Modmarket: This healthy fast-casual Colorado export currently has two Texas locations in Flower Mound and Plano (near 121 and Preston Road). Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the menu includes items like a kale and quinoa salad, a Thai chicken sandwich with sriracha, and brick-oven pizzas with whole grain crust and unique topping combos like bacon, roasted corn, and creme fraiche. Vertskebap: Austin-based chain which opened its first DFW location last month in Addison. Per a previous press release, a kebap is a European street food "best described as a panini pressed sandwich filled with vertically roasted meats, topped with fresh vegetables, and finished off with yogurt-based sauces." Most of the restaurants will be open by the end of 2014, reports Gubbins; the development will be anchored by a Trader Joe's slated to open in early February 2015.
