Here's a look inside the brand new Addison outpost of Neighborhood Services. Located in the burgeoning Village on the Parkway shopping center at Belt Line Road and the Dallas North Tollway, the third outpost of Nick Badovinus's perennial favorite might just be the best-looking one yet, replete with a gigantic American flag, oversized "NS" lights, an assortment of tchotchkes including antlers, globes, and various old trophies, and a sweet-looking patio that's sure to be packed once the weather's reasonable again.
The menu includes NHS favorites like the wedge salad, butcher's meatballs with "voodoo sauce," and crispy fried asparagus with creamy lemon-dill sauce, as well as some new additions such as grilled avocado, pineapple-teriyaki glazed spareribs, and pastrami-cured salmon bruschetta. Avowed carnivores can opt for the $15 butcher's burger with aged cheddar, or throw down a few more bills for one of "the funk room cuts," an assortment of steaks that have been dry-aged in a Himalayan sea salt room.
Badovinus is certainly staying busy; besides the newest addition to the NHS family, he's also working on a place called Hearth in the Design District as well as another Off-Site Kitchen at Trinity Groves.
NHS Addison is open Monday through Saturday for dinner, closed Sundays. Hit up (972) 789-9639 for reservations.
