Restaurateur Mico Rodriguez has temporarily closed his Henderson Avenue restaurant Mesero Miguel with plans to revamp. “Mesero Miguel never found its audience. The guests want what we’re doing at Mesero," he tells Nancy Nichols. As Nichols explains, compared to Rodriguez's other two similarly named restaurants, Mr. Mesero on McKinney Avenue and Mesero in Inwood Village, Mesero Miguel was "a more ambitious project" with menu additions like "pricey steaks, rabbit, duck, and regional Mexican dishes."
The restaurant will reopen at 5 p.m. on Thursday and will henceforth be referred to as simply Mesero.
